What is the course about?
This course provides attendees with an understanding of practical radiation safety in relation to x and gamma radiography both in enclosures, under 'open shop' conditions, and off site.
What are the benefits of this course?
Those attending this course will:
Learn about the nature and origins of x- and gamma radiation and the terminology used in radiation protection;
Realise the significance of potential doses, the health effects of these doses and the importance of keeping all exposures as low as reasonably practicable;
Understand the measures that can be taken in practice to restrict exposure, and the importance of adhering to written procedures;
